Overcoming
Only faith can carry you when the world’s foundation appears to be crumbling. The world seems only to convince us that things will get worse whereas faith will determine this to be the best year yet. 1 John 5:4 says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world; even our FAITH.” Faith can overcome every thing that is in this world: Sin, sickness, financial crisis, stress, fear, hate, and depression.
1 Peter 1:7 says, “That the trial of your faith, being MUCH MORE PRECIOUS THAN THAT OF GOLD that perishes, though it be tried with fire…” Our faith on trial is a precious thing. The Bible says that the trial of your faith is more precious than gold, treasure, or money. Do you know why that is? Because faith can work in the realms that money cannot. Money cannot work in the realm of healing nor can it work to dispel depression and anxiety. Money cannot feed the human spirit that requires a saving knowledge of God. If your faith is never put on trial then you would never know the sincerity of it. Do not diminish the times when your faith is tried; those are the times that show us who we truly are in God.
Faith is a stubborn belief that God will deliver on a promise. Faith that quits was never faith to begin with. Faith is never measured in a day, week, month, or year. Faith is the sum of an entire lifetime. God is an eternal being. That means that He does not live in time frames as we do. So faith cannot live with time limits because true faith is from God. Faith will carry on in the face of adversity fueled by a knowledge that considers all circumstances settled. Get into the Word of God and get God’s promises on family, finances, peace, and victory and consider all things settled! We’ll be glad we developed our faith. Money and business will fail in the arena where faith succeeds.
Revelation 2:17 is a tremendous promise from Jesus Himself to those that will overcome with their faith. It says, “…to him that overcomes will I give…him a stone with a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it.” That name will be something that only you and God will know for all eternity. God has the unique ability to make you feel completely special though you are one in billions. That name represents the special bond of fellowship God desires with all of us. That is exactly what we develop when we use our faith: We develop an intimate relationship with the Father. That relationship of faith culminates with overcoming the world and a special name given by God.
